I love to take photos in cities.
Cities are fascinating with their many aspects. I have taken photos in Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Munich, Hongkong, Tokyo and many other cities.
Unfortunately the photos from my time in Japan, the pics from Tokyo, Sapporo, Kyoto and Nara are analogue and not available at the moment. The memories are alive, though. Would love to go back to Japan and compare the fading pictures in me with the the real world. Hope some day I will be back.
Da Nang was cool with its beautiful skyline at the sea. And, I found a family there with a huge dog who loves eating and a good friend who loves coffee and the waves.
If the sea water quality could withstand the quantities of sewage I would still be there – maybe.
Now (beginning of 2020), I am looking for a new destination, a new goal or a new way.
The way might bring me closer to the Mekong, the mighty river. Maybe I will spend some time in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) again to take photos there and do some writing.
More and more people live in cities, in mega-cities. Can we integrate Mother
Nature in this artificial world? This would be an important thing to do.
Can we open our cities to animals, to trees, to butterflies and dundee lions?
The World is enough, but just humans wouldn´t be.
